This was a construction developed in the studio and then transplanted into the exhibition space. It always was the idea of a ship's bow emerging from the wall. The material is one of the most defining parameters here and a lot of the meaning unfolds in the dynamics between idea, material and the limitations of constructor and material.
On the spur of the moment an event was added to the structure. At regular intervals I lay beneath it and read a full chapter of 'Moby Dick', chosen at random.
